What is the cost of the course and what methods of payment does Classroom Online accept?

Can I take the course from various locations and computers?

  • Yes, Online Classroom courses are available from any computer that has access to the Internet 


What happens if I have technical difficulties or the system malfunctions during the course?

Can I take this course with the AOL browser? 

  • You can take the course with any browser of your choice, although 360training does not support the AOL , Mozilla , Firefox  and Netscape ®Browser. 
  • We suggest that you use Microsoft Internet Explorer browser (version 6.0 or the latest), while signed on with AOL. 
  • To do this, log in to AOL  and minimize the program. 
  • While still connected to the Internet, click on the START button in the lower left-hand corner of your screen. 
  • Click PROGRAMS, and then click INTERNET EXPLORER. 
  • The program icon will have a blue colored "e" shaped icon.

Do I have to use a PC? What if I have a Mac? 

  • If you have a MAC , you can still take any of our classes. 
  • However, be aware that our technical support team may be unable to help should you encounter technical difficulties.
  • If you have a MAC , the latest version of Internet Explorer , as well as the latest version of the Macromedia Flash Player  are required.

How do I get a username or password? What do I use it for? What should I do if I forget it? 

  • The username and password is selected by the student. 
  • They should be unique and something that can be easily remembered. 
  • We suggest using your email address. 
  • You will use the same username and password each time you log in to the virtual university. 
  • This information is entered in the returning students section on the homepage of the virtual university. If you forget your password, 1.877.253-0544

Do I need to have sound on my computer to take these classes? 

  • No, It is not necessary to have sound in order to learn the course material or complete the course. Al thel information played in audio is also displayed in text by the course player.

GENERAL ALCOHOL SELLER INFORMATION

  • How long is seller training certification valid?

  • Our Seller Training certification is valid for 2 (two) years from the date it is issued.  

  • How do I find out if I am certified?
  • You can verify the certification status of any employee at the Employee Inquiry section of the appropriate state alcohol seller-server agency. 

  • Do bartenders and wait staff have to be certified sellers-servers in order to sell or serve alcoholic beverages?

  • it is not a requirement At the present time, but many employers do require certification for employment. 

  • If I have been through the seller training once, do I have to go again every 2 years? Or is there a test I can take to become recertified? 

  • To maintain certification you must attend the full seller training course every 2 (two)years. There is no way to "test out" of the class, and there is not a different, recertification class. 

  • What is the cost of a seller training course?

  • The basic alcohol seller-server course is $25.00. Other courses are available but vary by state. In TX, we currently have our TABC Food Handler combo course for $25.00. See our price catalogue for specifics.

  • What are the consequences to seller/servers, if I serve or sell alcohol to an intoxicated person?

  • An offense  is a misdemeanor under this section punishable by a fine which varies by state.

  • What are the consequences to the minor if alcohol is served or sold to them?

  • The purchase, attempt to purchase, possession or consumption of alcohol by a minor is a  misdemeanor.

  • What are the consequences to seller/servers if  I serve or sell alcohol to a minor?

  • An offense is a misdemeanor under this section

  • As an employer, what are the advantages of requiring all of my employees to be seller trained?

  • The laws concerning the sale and service to minors and intoxicated customers are covered in the training, as well as techniques for intervention to ensure that sales are not made to minors or intoxicated customers.

  • As a retailer, which of my employees must be certified in order to comply with the seller/server requirements?

  • The general definition of an employee is: one who sells, serves, dispenses, or delivers alcoholic beverages under the authority of a license or permit, including persons who immediately manage, direct, supervise, or control the sale or service of alcoholic beverages.

  • What are the consequences to a retailer if alcohol is served or sold to an intoxicated person?

  • The retailer could have its license/permit to sell alcoholic beverages suspended for up 60 days, or even canceled. If there is evidence that the illegal sale was made to someone involved in a fatal accident, TABC will move for cancellation of the license/permit. 

  • How do I find out if an employee or prospective employee is certified?

  • You can verify the certification status of any employee at the Employee Inquiry section of the appropriate state alcohol seller-server agency.
