OSHA 10 Hour Construction Outreach OSHA Hazardous Communication 

Course Credit 10 Hours

  • The OSHA 10 Hr Construction Training course is a safety program designed for anyone involved in the construction industry. 
  • Devised specifically for safety directors, foremen, and field supervisors -- the program provides complete information on OSHA compliance issues. 
  • OSHA recommends the Outreach Training Programs as an orientation to  workers covered by OSHA 29 CFR 1926.
  • When required by OSHA standards, Construction workers must receive additional training on specific job hazards 
  • Upon completion of the course, within 6-8 weeks, participants will receive an OSHA 10 Hour Construction Outreach DOL course completion card 
  • The 10 Hr Const course is NOT equivalent to the OSHA 510 or 511 courses and will not meet the course prerequisites to take the OSHA 500 or 501 courses.

  • At the end of each module, you will be given a 10 (ten) question module quiz.
  • You must score at least 70% on each module quiz to proceed in the course.
  • You will be given up to 3 opportunities to pass each module quiz. 
  • Failure to successfully pass the quiz will result in being locked out of the course and not allowed to continue with an online training format for your outreach training.

Once you have successfully completed all of the modules, you must pass a 20 question final exam to receive full credit for the course. You must score of at least 70% to pass. You will be given up to 3 opportunities to pass the final; if you do not pass it after three tries, you will be locked out of this course will no longer be able to take your outreach training in an online format.

GHS and OSHA Hazardous Communication

  • Workers are exposed to hazardous chemicals daily in the workplace. 
  • Such conditions pose a serious health threat to the worker. 
  • OSHA requires training regarding chemical hazards in the workplace. 
  • In this course you will learn about the HazCom (Hazardous Communication) Standard and the new Globally Harmonized System (GHS), and how to use Safety Data Sheets (SDSs) and chemical labels to protect yourself from hazards or react to chemical exposures. 

This course gives you a basic understanding of how to deal with hazardous chemicals and how workers can prevent and protect themselves from chemical hazards.
